Learning Together in Clay
Workshops and classes taught by Barbara Hanselman
Barbara has taught hand-building workshops and ongoing classes, emphasizing exploration and dual demonstrations. Students worked with pre-sized templates to create forms such as vases, pitchers, scent bottles, and lidded vessels.
Key techniques covered included invisible seams, hollow handles, flanged lids, and ease-mold construction — all aimed at giving hand-builders greater control and confidence with clay.
